About the role:
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will ensure that key warehouse functions are run smoothly and efficiently to support excellent customer service. Having exceptional communication and leadership skills, you will successfully look after your team’s welfare, safety and productivity whilst collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure that the flow of orders and stock fulfils customer requirements. Being a keen problem solver and having attention to detail, you will thrive in this fast paced environment.
Main duties include:
Supervision of warehouse team, despatch and goods receiving functions, ensuring that all orders are picked and despatched in accordance to customers / OCUK requirements.
Ensure that deliveries are checked and booked in promptly and accurately
Positively influence performance, morale, health and safety compliance and good housekeeping.
Onboarding and training of new staff
Primarily responsible for parcel carrier shipments and WMS queries
Ensuring that the pick face is replenished effectively
Provide support on PI
Ensure that rules, policies and procedures are followed consistently to
Liaison with the customer services team to facilitate customer collections, queries and to provide updates where required.
Provide absence cover for other supervisors and manager.
Key holder for site - open and closing of site when required.
Normal working hours are as follows:
· Week 1 –Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:30 = 40 hours
· Week 2 – Monday to Friday 10.00 – 19.00 = 40 hours
· Week 3 – Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:30 and Saturday 09.00 – 17.00 = 47 hours
Job requirements
Essential
Previous warehouse supervisory experience
Excellent team leading and communication skills
Working knowledge of warehouse Health and Safety regulations
Proven problem solving ability
Working knowledge of WMS/ ERP systems
Excellent IT skills
Ability to lead and inspire your team for excellence and continuous improvement
Desirable
Forklift experience / licence - VNA, PPT, Counterbalance
Health and Safety or relevant team leading qualification
