Due to expansion, we are recruiting for an enthusiastic and pro-active individual with a passion for PC hardware and gaming, who is interested in continuing or developing a career in marketing and ecommerce.

About the team:
In order to stay ahead of the latest trends, OCUK’s Marketing team is made up of very knowledgeable, passionate, gaming enthusiast, marketing specialists who not only use their expertise to create the finest content to share our product knowledge and to advertise our products, but also to ensure that our product data is ‘on point’ for our extensive product range.

What you will be doing:

Working within our global content team, the Product Data Executive serves to enhance and enrich product attribute data for both customers on the front end, and internal use in the back end. The post holder will be responsible for inputting and maintaining product data for all products within the Group’s Product Information Management system, ensuring they are complete, accurate and up to date.

To be successful in this role you will need to have a customer first approach, be passionate about the brands and products with an obsession over their specification and data. You will have a hunger to learn and develop in order to drive sales and performance, especially for own and exclusive brands.

Initially, you will be working Monday to Friday from our Stoke-on-Trent headquarters but following a successful probationary period, there will be an option for some remote working subject to a rota of fixed days within our office.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Support all product launches with accurate product data in the product information management system, ensuring all available and appropriate attributes are completed on time

  • Complete and upload product compliance data and documentation to ensure their lawful sale

  • Enrich existing products with up to date and accurate product attribute data

  • Proactively seek product information where unavailable, such as from brand websites, review sites etc

  • Research and request new attributes and values from the PIM technical team when unavailable or missing

  • Collaborate with customer service teams to update incorrect or outdated product information based on customer queries, feedback, complaints and returns

  • Collaborate with purchasing teams to enrich and update product information leveraging their setup sheets and brand relationships

Job requirements

  • Genuine passion for PC hardware and gaming

  • Experience in a commercial environment

  • High attention to detail and high levels of accuracy with regard to data input, spelling and grammar

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrable ability in Excel to intermediate level or above

  • Enthusiastic, proactive and self-motivated

  • Team player with a friendly, helpful and positive attitude

Good to have, but not essential

  • Experience in a marketing environment

  • Working knowledge of Asana and Akeneo
